Part of my addiction has to do with the mystique of a pendant necklace. At the end of a beautiful chain lays a little treasure; something different, something exotic. The other part of my addiction, I admit, has to do with laziness. Every weekend for the past six years, I pack my kids into the car and head three hours north for skiing in Vermont. Apres-ski cocktails are pretty much routine with our friends, but planning an outfit that is cozy, comfortable and stylish is sometimes tough to pull off when all you want to do is kick back and relax.
I’d pair this necklace with my off-white slouchy crewneck sweater layered over a tank, some black skinny jeans and my oxblood suede short boots. I’d think of it as a subtle winter version of the red, white and blue palette you might find me in on a hot summer day (that I’m starting to long for!) in July.
