One of our destinations this summer was Normandy. We choose to arrive via overnight ferry from England instead of the traditional route by high-speed train, which allowed us to approach this spectacular coastline from the sea.
Retracing the steps of the Allied troops, which landed on Normandy’s beaches during World War II, was a thrilling and emotional journey. Normandy has an expansive shoreline with long beaches, grassy bluffs and steep cliffs, which became even more dramatic when the tide was low, exposing endless miles of sand.
The Sand Shades Stone Collar Necklace, with its soft hues and pearl accents, reminds me of those beaches. Wearing this necklace will always transport me back to this setting; one that is as meaningful as it is magnificent.
