Fashion Institute of Technology Jewelry Design Contest Winner Christine Gonzalez

Christine Gonzalez is a freshman in the 2-year Jewelry Design program at FIT. She had previous training in classical jewelry fabrication and spent 2 years learning metal- working techniques from a master silversmith. An avid traveler, Christine was especially inspired by a visit to Bulgaria with its beautiful countryside and ancient Thracian metalsmiths. She often looks to her surroundings, including the textures of her native landscape of New York City for inspiration. Christine is our winner in the Metal category.
