We are so proud to introduce our newest blogger—Paula Rice!
In addition to being a jewelry-lover par excellence, Paula is a distinguished journalist. She has been Editor-in-Chief of Interiors Magazine as well as Editor in beauty and design at Conde Nast and Hearst publications, and has held free-lance positions at The New York Times and NBC. Paula’s best selling design book MONOCHROME is now in its third printing by The Monacelli Press.
A humanitarian and global thinker, Paula is a recent past President (and now a Director) of The United Nations Association of New York, an important non-governmental agency associated with the UN. Currently, she is Editor-at-Large for the decorating blog Decorator’s Insider: What Nobody Tells You About Interior Design. She also is Acquiring US Editor for the Australian book publisher The IMAGES PUBLISHING GROUP.
The daughter of an Air Force officer, Paula grew up in Japan. After graduating from Sarah Lawrence, she hit the New York publishing scene, where assignments took her all over the world. Aside from jewelry, her free time passion is knitting. Paula says, “Knitting is architecture. Jewelry is the window panes flashing in the sun.”
